Tracy Fukui is an experienced litigator with over 17 years of experience.  Ms. Fukui has tried numerous civil and criminal jury cases in both federal and state courts.  She is committed to providing quality and zealous legal representation for her clients and takes the time to carefully listen to her clients to ensure she does everything she can to help them achieve their objectives. Prior Work History Includes:

Agsalda & Fukui, LLLC (Partner) -- As a principle partner, Ms. Fukui was lead counsel on numerous civil litigation cases representing both plaintiff and defense clients.  Although Ms. Fukui's litigation practice was diverse, there was heavy emphasis on employment discrimination, civil rights/police misconduct, and personal injury cases.  Additionally, Ms. Fukui maintained a criminal practice consisting of felony and misdemeanor defendant representation before both Circuit and District Courts of the State of Hawaii.

Office of the Corporation Counsel for the City and County of Honolulu, Litigation Division (Deputy) -- As a Deputy Corporation Counsel, Ms. Fukui defended the City and its employees against numerous civil lawsuits and appeals involving a wide range of legal claims and issues, including: employment law; civil rights/police misconduct; and personal injury cases.  During her tenure, Ms. Fukui tenaciously and successfully litigated numerous motions resulting in dismissal of cases, and successfully defended the City as the lead counsel in three civil jury trials before the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii, resulting in defense verdicts. 

Office of the Public Defender State of Hawaii (Deputy) -- It was Ms. Fukui's experience as a Deputy Public Defender that provided her the solid foundation blocks of a quality litigator -- trial skills.  As a Deputy Public Defender, Ms. Fukui successfully tried numerous felony and misdemeanor cases before local juries.  Ms. Fukui also litigated numerous bench trials, appeals, substantive motions, and probation/parole violations.  

Insurance Defense (Associate) -- Ms. Fukui also worked as an associate for a local insurance defense law firm.  As an associate, Ms. Fukui honed her legal research, motions practice, and discovery skills.  

Honorable Virginia L. Crandall, Circuit Court of the First Circuit for the State of Hawaii (Law Clerk) -- Ms. Fukui is very proud to have served as the Law Clerk for the Honorable Virginial L. Crandall, Circuit Court of the First Circuit of the State of Hawaii.  As Judge Crandall's law clerk, Ms. Fukui researched and briefed numerous civil and criminal procedural and substantive motions, and also served as the court's bailiff.  The insight Ms. Fukui gained as to inner-workings of the Circuit Court and jurors' reactions to cases and attorneys have proven invaluable in her work as a litigator.
